Lesson Learned Poem by Malory Joyce

Lesson Learned

Covered my mouth when I spoke of nothing good
and uncovered, my lips remained shut.

Stood in the corner when I stared upon a person,
and turned around, I stared at the ground.

Tied my hands when I snatched from people,
and untied, my hands were locked to the side.

Ignored when I wouldn't pay attention or listen,
and seen, I opened my ears and glued my eyes.

Recieved less when I took more,
and given, I took what's needed.

For every lesson told,
lesson learned.
