Lessons From A Journey :) Poem by Vinay Vernekar

Lessons From A Journey :)

I wondered about the happenings in the world
as I sat in my workplace.
Finding myself isolated
from the ongoing different race.

Dusk arrived to my den I sailed,
With a millions of thoughts in my head nailed.
Thinking of others as to what they would say
If I did this, if I did that,
Always fearing that I would do it the wrong way.

Once came an angel
Whispered in my ears:
“A person who asks a question
is a fool for a minute.
And the one who doesn’t
remains a fool for infinite.”

Then I travelled to a place.
It made me realize I lacked pace.
I was way behind in the race
And I needed to transcend into the next phase.

When you get down on the road
Carrying on your shoulders a lot of load
You set out on a journey
On a quest to find the key.

Don’t make a move which is foul.
Always strive hard to raise your soul.
From the mode of goodness develop real knowledge,
From passion develop greed,
From ignorance develop foolishness, madness and illusion
and leads us to the path of destruction.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion
But the facts remain the same.
Everyone may draw their own game-plan
But the song remains the same.

Always be a receptacle for knowledge floating around
Holding your feet firmly on the ground.
Then the lost chapters will be found and
You will attain gratification and be amidst of the pleasant sounds.

Do not blame or hold others responsible
For the thing you have done wrong,
As a person who wants to sing
Always finds a song.

Never indulge in a negative thought process
They may ruin the road you are on.
But though you try to keep them miles away
They creep in slowly onto the pathway
As you traverse the road you choose to be on.

Be brave to dream.
Be courageous to work hard.
Be consistent in your efforts.
Be confident of your actions.
Be firm on your decisions.
Execute everything to perfection.
Almighty will guide you
in your mantic and destiny.

Consistency is the core of any structure.
Never let your fortitude waver.
For Rome was not built in a day,
And your life is not less beautiful in any way.
