Let Me Lie Poem by Lalit Kaira

Let Me Lie

Rating: 5.0

On a grassy velvet carpet
Silently, let me lie..........
Let the death be my beloved
Keep away all hue and cry, silently let me lie....

I'll be waiting till you reach
In the evening beneath the beech
Three warm kisses I beseech.
Then I part from you my dear,
See me off with happy eye, silently let me lie....

Death is but a life again
Love is a bliss with some pain
Emptiness the holiest strain
So, on the void ways of life
Let me be a passer-by, silently let me lie....
