Let's Talk About Love Poem by Freewill Amon

Let's Talk About Love

Please don't tell me your usual stories
I'm only interested in what you feel
We can talk about our worries
And then take some wine and heal

I know I have a family
But I don't want to talk about them
My heart is beating heavily
And that is my major problem

Don't ask me about my studies
I have some other bigger problems
But we can share our worries
That alone can help our hearts to mend

I don't want to talk about my fight with beasts
I have a better story to tell
It is about the deeper part of me
A love story for sale

Tell me about your love-life
And I will tell you about mine
Tell me about who drives you wild
And I will tell you who I have in mind

I want us to talk about love;
The only reason I close my eyes and smile
I want to celebrate with my heart
I want to fly... To the sky...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I's obsessed with love before I wrote this poem. My heart was just beating anyhow; I was having feelings for several ladies. I like the feeling I get when I see any of them at lectures. One day i's coming back from lectures with a friend and he's talking about lecturers and studies, but I was busy grooming on the feelings that overwhelmed me. At a point I muttered, 'I'm not even interested in this crap your're saying. How I wish I can discuss love with you and let you know what's going on in my heart.' I penned this poem down the moment I reached home that day. It was by the first quarter of 2010.
