Letting Go Of The Fight Poem by Biniam Tekeste

Letting Go Of The Fight

When your words strike me like arrows ablaze,
My heart may be bruised, but healing's a phase.
My secret to coping? Forgiveness, my friend.
I don't wait for the sun to descend.

I don't believe in tit-for-tat,
Or holding grudges, that's not where it's at.
I trust in God to avenge just right,
So I forgive, and let go of the fight.

The power of forgiveness sets me free,
And allows me to be who I want to be.
So if you hurl your words, I'll be okay,
For I know that my healing's just a moment away.

A great message to those who hold grudges and wait for opportunity. Forgiving is the best way to have peace. Ad Karma is there to do the rest. Nice share. Keep going.
