Life And Time Poem by Claude Simpson

Life And Time

Youngster, you are new to life
But you are
Fine.
The vehicle of happiness
And experience
Will lend you
The time.
Grownups will play
And your adolescence
You will leave
Behind.

Time will serve you
Pleasure,
Your heart will wake
And yearn for love and things
You treasure.

Your desires will parade
For adventure.
You will thirst with a passion
For the Life of adulthood;
But
Peace and love
Will lessen the fear
Of censure.

You will survive
The maze of
Hardship.
You will endure the test
Of time.
You will give unto God
Times of
Worship;
A life well lived
With things truly
Fine.

Time is the master
So
Let time be your friend.
Our time will expire
But
We must remember
That
Death is not the end.

Time is the creator.
It expedites
Aging.
Things seemingly take
A turn, slowly, slowly
With
Activity and interest
Fading.

Youthfulness forces
Itself
Between two
Short intervals.
We demonstrate
Our inner strength
To
Write our
Life journals.

If you care to
Reflect
You will notice
That
The result we can
Appreciate.
We have a mind of our own.
We eat, drink, play and
Meditate
Doing all that we can;
As we aspire to live a fulfilled
Life, meaningful and
Great.
