Life's a celebration,
if lived each moment.
Each moment is then golden,
glorious, always shining and gay,
bubbling up and sparkling,
like a bright and sunny day.
Through the sunshine of joys,
the shadows of sorrows,
bereft of Past or Future's traces,
as it evolves and grows.
Our longings, like bees,
gather love and beauty,
in a swarm of zeal,
from the world, wide and free,
and fill up our soul,
with ecstasy and pleasure,
we are honeybees on the hive,
children on the mother’s bosom.
Resting in her lap, secure,
feeling a thrill to stretch
to heights of the sky, depths of the sea,
what wonders this may fetch!
This moment's only to relish
and solve what comes its way,
and without any blockade,
accept or ignore, without sway.
For we can’t change a bygone moment,
a moment to come we can’t touch,
this moment's the only that shapes,
and our dreams must adopt it as such.
So what's life?
Life is exhilaration,
if lived through each moment.
Life is a celebration,
if lived through each moment.

I liked the rhyme and the message, but maybe because I'm more of a free form poet, I felt as if some of the stanza breaks muddled the fluidity. I tried reading it aloud and silently to clear this, but I couldn't. Overall, good message and form.
For a bygone moment we can't change, A moment to come we cannot touch, This moment's the only that shapes Our dreams need to adopt it as such. What a wonderful theme and even more wonderfully expressed. Time stood still throughout my reading of this work of art. A 10++++++++++.... for it absolutely. Thanks for sharing this priceless gem of wisdom.
I was enjoying the poem when coincidently just at that moment my boys started a quarrel with each other The joy of the moment was gone for a while But I fully agree that living in the present trying to enjoy the glory that most moments carry Is really the way to live. Again lots and lots of meaning beautifully expressed.
This moment is life 'the bank and shoal of Time'. Soul speaks through this poem. I loved it.
True! Our life can become celebration if we live in the present moment away from the regrets of the past and anxiety of future. [For a bygone moment we can't change, A moment to come we can not touch, This moment's the only that shapes Our dreams, need to adopt it as such.]-What a message if we can do it! Thnaks.
I enjoyed how you represented a well examined philosophy through a great collection of metaphors and how this was then arranged with the ABAB rhyme scheme with the division of the question to re iterate your initial point. This metaphor is profound and represents an otherwise common perception from a new angle through the nature imagery, which I thought demonstrated the majesty invoked by believing the aforementioned statement. A good write.

Rest in the lap so much secure, With a thrill ever to stretch, for highs o' the sky, depths o' the sea, What a wonder it can fetch! Oh how we miss this carefree moment now! Nice capture of that moment.
