Life Is In Your Hands
Promises you didn’t keep
Your lies began to steep
SMSes, chit-chats: shorter and fewer
Found heart’s rest in someone newer
Chose to walk a treacherous path
Wrought in hurts and pain, inflicting self
Your life is in your hands!
Be not be vanquished to nothing
Vaporize dreams for a shallow thing
Sacrifice your integrity and honour
Live your night’s fantasies by hour
Risk loss of family ties
Ridden in guilt and lies
Your life is in your hands!
When reality glares before you
Remorseful of what been through
A thousand tears you’d shed
A thousand times you’d regret
What’s done, cannot be undone
Painful memories that’d haunt
Your life is in your hands!
Life’s bitter lessons learnt
Life’s experience-burnt
Wisdom tells you to mend
Renew, your path amend
Life must move on!
New life, turn on!
Happiness is in your hands!

A Beautiful poem. Very true said, What's done cannot be undone. Any no. of tears, any no. of regrets, nothing can give one forgiveness. Life's bitter experience are learnt. Only one can do is to mend the way. I loved reading each lines. Beautiful presentation.
