Life Is Like A Cigarette Poem by Mathew Lewis

Life Is Like A Cigarette

Life is like a cigarette,
Smoke it to the end,
That is all I have to say
To you my friend.

And though we all may, someday soon,
Come undone,
At least we’ll know we did our best,
Under every sun.

You may never understand
The words I write,
Well that doesn’t matter anymore,
I refuse to fight.

I will go on I swear to you,
Beyond this dream,
Weather you do the same with you,
Is not up to me.

For once I’m not afraid of life,
Like I was before,
Now all this is mine to make,
I’m no slave anymore.

Breaking free feels so damn good,
Come join me out here,
There’s better things in this world
Than always knowing fear.

Life is like a cigarette,
Smoke it to the end,
That is all I have to say
To you my friend.
