Lifetime Friend
Lifetime friend
Monday,19th April 2021
I was riding on the crest of waves
but behaved strangely
I did not look backwards
and wanted for no wards
friends were many
but I had no time to think nearly
they were all part-timers
and I also considered my self a stranger
what was important!
only today and present opportunities
I had no time to love somebody
and address dearly
One opportunity really changed my style
I was thinking about it for a while
She had proposed me with an earnest
only I was not the honest
What could have I done?
gone to her with an acceptance
caught her hand
and proposed as a lifetime friend

Friends come and go in life, there are those who stay for awhile and those that move on. Wonderful poem
This is a lovely poem with good intentions, BUT earlier time: the woman should not ask a man to marry her, nowadays you can. Fantastic poem, Hashmukh Sir!
