Like Balloons

Breathing in
And breathing out—
In a very
Rhythmic way.
Like balloons,
(Full of air) ,
Thus we are
And so we fare.
Flailing in the wind
We go:
Here, there
And yonder—so...
By breath we are,
By breath we “stay.”
But if such breath
Was zapped today,
We’d deflate
And wane away.
Lord don’t take
Our “breath” away.
