Like Dreamers Do Poem by David Harris

Like Dreamers Do

Sing me a lullaby
so I can sleep well tonight.
Sing to me of fairies
dancing on the dew.
Tell the man in the moon
not to keep me awake tonight.
Tell the birds to sing all day,
but the night creatures to only
whisper their calls tonight.
Let me sleep like dreamers
do with wonderful things
spinning around in my head
from midnight to dawn’s breaking hour.
So I can feel refreshed
in the morning’s light.
