Lip Service Poem by Robert R. Railey

Lip Service

Lip Service

"What's the rush, " he was prone to say
"We are likely to arrive on the very same day"
"But it's not the same if we arrive late, " I said
"For I've always preferred to be among the first"
"Well early or late it's all the same to me, " he said
"For Saint Peter is always at the gate"
