Here I sit out on the porch
The candle is burning like a torch
The songs are singing their little song
While we are talking all night long
The cars are moving now and then
Once in a while, it will be a friend
The wind is quietly standing still
As we watch from on top of this hill
The coyotes are howling in harmony too
Like a magical chior from a pew
As the whippoorwills are singing along
Everyone Are singing their songs
Off in the sky a plane goes in a zoom
As we sit here in a lovers gloom
As the stars twinkle in harmony too
Like natures songs for me and you
This song plays right on
Through the break of dawn
And then you'll be able to see
A fawn nursing on its mom oh so free
Nature has a way of keeping us near
From the sounds that sound so clear
And yet holding us all in awe
As if our hearts are dancing at the ball
Some sit on the porch with me
As everyone sings sweet harmony
So listen to the nature songs
It's where we can never go wrong
If we sit there until morning
You'll hear doves, sparrows, and wrens
Yes, the birds will sing their songs
Singing as if there is nothing wrong
