We all have different layers of our person.
We open them to public one at a time
and only as much as is appropriate
The real person lives inside
Away from the gaze of all
Content in itself
We rarely share this real person with someone
Someone we really trust
Someone we really cherish
Someone whom we hold very close to heart
Someone whom we consider a part of ourselves
My Friend,
I have the privilege of knowing that real person in you
I have found her to be gracious and generous and giving
I have found her to be pure and unspoiled and unblemished
I have found her to be a beautiful gem
uncut may be, but priceless anyway
And my good fortune does not stop here
You very graciously allowed me to live within
Day in, day out
I am never far, never away
And I bask in your love and care and grace and generosity
It is symbolic but it is a matter of great honor
My Friend,
My gratitude towards you is boundless
