Lone Poem by Loren Denny

Lone

Coffers fill as do bellies long and vast passing of hopes ambition
Judging from the coin purse sounds which emanate from praisings tuition
Noble a Cause donned grasping at parts of those kingly crowned
" I'm going all-in today my friend, going to lift me above Solid Ground',
I heard someone say attempting to share their Joys, lifted
Without question to mind came "Can a soul be carried by ashes once sifted? "
Be there no sanctum less prayers kisses for some sacred dead
Are we the following sheepishly still rentingof space in our heads
A heart's need to identify themselves Shorefear upon quaking perch
So pardon said Fray of evidence less proofs be taxing search
God-fearing evils spoken done unto all skeptical sayers
Shame stockingLegacy who sought answerstender cares
Pulling the Yoke so he used a hand to troubled lone shoulder
As faint becomes Hearts beat by soon Earthen played soldiers
