Long Long Long/Longing Poem by Shalom Freedman

Long Long Long/Longing

My mind writes its own silence
Across the page
Long long long
Longing
Oh how the years have gone by
Lived and largely forgotten
Old old old
And tired
Yet ‘something ere the end'
G-d Please give me
The strength I pray
To go on with courage
And not fail those I love
Too much.
