Loom Poem by gershon hepner

Loom

After delight comes
the doom
as tragedy follows
the joy,
for while you are weaving,
the loom
lets the warp and the woof
both enjoy
their moment of fame.
Like a rug,
depend on them equally,
full
of feelings of joy
which can
tug
on the heartstrings
till doom
starts to pull.

Mark Rothko said that his paintings has to convey 'Tragedy, ecstasy, doom and so on' (Eric Gibson in The Wall Street Journal, 'Size Does Matter: In the Gallery, ' June 4,1998) .
