to know not
is a feeling of hope
knowing
is the greatest loss

i lived in a lie
did i ever complain?
now i see the truth
and i die everyday

wish i could go back
to the time it was just you and me
where every word you said
was the reason why i lived

i loved my dreams
to live in them forever
but reality dragged me out
to a world where I was shattered

Shattered was my soul
as now I see
that it was never about us
but I still hope it'll someday be

I cry from within
since I know
that knowing is the greatest loss
as it breaks all hopes.
