Lost Dream Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Lost Dream

Rating: 5.0

Sparkles of dream
Flashing in my mind:
I imagine it there,
In its beauty!
Lost forever
Maybe you are;
Breathing your shadow,
Footprints in the sand...

Once you wrapped me in light,
Guiding my sight
In sweet-bitter heaven:
Falling painfully
In darkness
Unknown;
Mercilessly dying,
Till the end of the end.

Maybe you are! However, hope still lies ahead. Nice work.

Both of these stanzas open with marvelous evocations of the immediacy of love. The first one emphasizes what; s happening inside the lover SPARKLES OF LOVE FLASH IN MY MIND. But right in the middle of stanza are the fateful words LOST FOREVER. The second stanza opens with a outside scene of the lovers ONCE YOU WRAPPED IN A LIGHT GUIDING MY SIGHT etc. That is so lovely and perfectly pitched to show the interplay of lovers, how they open the world for their beloved. I won'r say anything else. I want to stay with that vision of being wrapped in light!
