Lost Wings Poem by Keegan Cooke

Lost Wings

Rating: 5.0

Where have my wings gone?
I feel lost in a never ending fog
I want to fly again

I want to feel lighter than air
Let go of everything and not have a care
Be complete again, not a single tear

To feel warm, and no longer bare
Should i just let go? Do I dare?
Should I just hold on and see how I fare?

I want to feel unique again, I want to feel rare
I want my wings back, and lift off the ground
No words would be necessary, not a single sound

Feel the adrenaline rush, and my heart pound
I want to be invincible again, unable to be bound
I want my wings back, so I can fly

To rip through the air like a bullet to the sky
To be unstoppable, and unable to die
To feel complete again, and no longer tried

To feel new again, and no longer drained dry
I want my wings back, even if for just a little while
