Lost Youth Poem by Melvina Germain

Lost Youth

Rating: 5.0

Youth I've lost not long ago,
could I bring it back one day
and live it over again.
Perhaps I'd find a different path
of priviledge laced in green
and walk the rosy road
no worries so obscene.
Old age will take me home
across that invisible line.
Am I missing out on something,
something that was impossible to find.

Verily, it will not come, even if you give the world's riches in return....10

I wouldn't trade a Nano-second of the wisdom I've earned over the decades, for being young and pain free again. Valsa and Loke are right tho, young at heart makes a difference

There is a yearning in everyone for the lost young days of life! Though past is irretrievable, we somehow long for an about turn! But aging is only a matter of the mind..... We can keep ourselves young by remaining young at heart! Enjoyed the poem!

Youth is in the heart, I saw it many times in your poems. Thanks Melvina
