From the night sky up above,
A star drawn by intense love
Shoots to earth at a great speed,
Leaving its own elongated orbit.
Drawn by the earth's intangible,
Elusive charm, enters the feeble
Star into the earth's atmosphere,
Turns into ashes, never to reappear.
This self immolation is dedicated as though
To love eternal. The ashes bury themselves,
Here, there or wherever, in silence, perhaps
Leaving a quiet message, that love burns!

Lovely piece of poetry bristling with insight. I like the rhyme scheme of the piece. Thanks for sharing Khairul. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.

Sublime and poignant message left in your silent, quiet poem. I believe that love does burn at times, we cannot seem to avoid it. Really great imagery, lingering to the end. Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn
