Love From Long Distance Poem by Avary Shy

Love From Long Distance

I remember what he looks like. Faintly
It's only been two weeks, but if feels more like two years.
Even our brief online conversations are becoming distant.
I often wonder why he even loves me, or if he actually cares.
I miss him.
Every time I close my eyes I only see him.
If I close my eyes long enough I can feel his arms around me,
and hear his heart beat in time with my own.
I can remember what his hair smells like. There are no words to describe it.
I can remember the hint of his cologne. A generic brand of AXE. I love it.
His smile and baby blue eyes are forever imprinted in my mind, and his name, forever on my heart.
The words run through my mind like a melody to my life.
'Long Distance Love.'
I can't imagine what I'd do if I lost him.
My heart may stop.
Life might end.
Mind might crash.
Spirits may fall even more than they already have.
I know of three words.
They are there.
I love him.
