Love Is Alive! Poem by Jeffrey Johnson

Love Is Alive!

Rating: 5.0

For the past few centuries,
Much of Earth fell into confusion.
Driven mostly by rediscoveries,
Yet are pulled more into delusion.
The ancient ways once celebrated;
Suppressed in darkness as devised.
Now with memory so devastated,
Humans were easily compartmentalized.

Born into a world of amnesia,
We arrive here 'without a past'.
Raised to function in anaesthesia,
The infant years awfully contrast.
What society preaches to us all
Is very contrary to the truth.
Needing permission to avoid a fall,
Heavily conditioned in every youth.

Time is allotted from debt slavery,
So-called 'holidays' prevent mutiny.
Yet needing to damper any bravery
Must mean 'They' don't like scrutiny.
The illusion is starting to fade away,
As every consumer becomes conscious.
Christmas, Easter or Valentines Day;
Such distortions became monotonous!

These assigned 'days' are not enough,
Not enough 'time' to show true love.
The meaning of which made so tough
Is actually too simple to shove.
It isn't the gift, but the energy
That is expressed from the heart.
It isn't the word spelled L-O-V-E,
But the fact we form every part.

Love is every breath, love is being.
Love is believing first, then seeing.
Love is acceptance without judgement,
Love is forgiving, even the government.
Love is everything created by Source,
Love is an unyielding, perpetual force.
Love isn't lack, for in love we thrive.
Love isn't a thing, Love is Alive!
