Love Is Stranded Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Love Is Stranded

She fell softly
like an autumn leaf
into my existence,

I was blowing in the breeze
Trying to escape onto
sun and flower infused summer streets.

In a brief dream,
I kissed her eyes
on the broken concrete
beside the abandoned wedding boutique.

Love is stranded in the past
and so am I.

I stumbled across your poetry, as I am very new to this forum, and found I felt at home....your style reminds me much of a favorite poet of mine, Rod Mc Kuen. I will continue to explore your many writings and invite to view my work, as well. Very enjoyable...I welcome your comments and critiques. PEACE
