Love Me Cause I Can Forget
Love me cause I can forget,
She used to tell me everyday.
From the very first day, when we met,
Every morning that's what she'd say.
I never knew quite what that meant,
But I tried real hard to just comply.
She wouldn't give me one small hint,
But I never gave her wings to fly.
I never did let her forget,
And I love her more as time goes by.
Almost forty years now since we first met,
And she's still the apple of my eye.
