Love Poem Poem by Lala Singer

Love Poem

Love was never a complicated thing
from the moment their eyes first meet
to the moment he gives her that ring
it's that sweet simplicity that makes it all worth while
kind of like that sweet innocence brought forth by a child
but just as easily as that innocence can be perverted
love can be twisted, changed, and converted
into a malicious beast unknown to the lover's eye
a beast that gets stronger with each and every lie
a beast that brings out emotions like hurt, anger, and resentment
but a beast that can be tamed with just a lil bit of repentance
i've heard the trouble with love is it doesn't care how fast you fall
but the fact of the matter is
love doesn't care about anything at all
except itself and the two people unlucky enough to be in it
but when you're that far gone sometimes you have to spin it
keep trying, and hoping, and then try and make it work
see when you fall in love it won't be hard...
but it definitely will hurt
