Single Black Female Poem by Lala Singer

Single Black Female

I met a young black king yesterday
who stole my heart unintentionally
I begged him to let me stay
and make me his queen
and I would satisfy his every need
physically, emotionally, and spiritually too
but he said, 'I cannot commit to you,
cuz my queen is 5'5 with pretty brown eyes
and dating you would be my demise.'
I met a young black Adonis today
who stole my heart unintentionally
i begged him to let me stay
and make me his goddess, down to the wire
and i would fufill his every desire
physically, emotionally, and spiritually too
but he said, 'I cannot commit to you,
cuz my goddess is live, with big thick thighs
and dating you just wouldn't be wise.'
I'll meet a young black thief tomorrow
who'll steal my heart along with my sorrow
and he'll beg me to stay and be his girl
so he can stay and rock my world
physically, emotionally, and spiritually too
and he'll say, 'Here's all you got to do,
just be you with ya pretty brown eyes
and ya big thick thighs and together baby girl
you and me, we can ride! '
