Love's Lesson Lost Poem by Joseph Anderson

Love's Lesson Lost

Rating: 5.0

A lowly peasant, manor born
Walked among us long ago;
And tried to teach for all mankind
Of a better way to go.

This teacher, preacher for all time
Spoke of love, compassion, care,
Peace, contentment and brotherhood
And our mutual need to share.

Famed leader Gandhi oft times spoke
On the lessons Jesus taught;
And thought if we would follow them
We would gain what can't be bought.

To soon, this peasant, manor born
Faced death on a rugged cross
And mankind's struggled ever since,
Searching for love's lesson lost.

Brilliant Joseph - we have indeed many lessons to learn, and we always seem to choose the hard way rather than listening to and acting upon the words of the wise.

The love this peasant ignited still burns in many hearts! ! That's why the world goes on despite its wickedness, hatred and malice! A brilliant write coming from a sincere heart of great convictions! !
