Love's Plenitude Poem by Sandra Feldman

Love's Plenitude

We did not have to speak,
We understood each other,
As Love reached its highest peak,
As we looked into each other's eyes,
As our hands interlaced,
When Love did meet the Ecstasy,
That no human power can defeat!

I love the word PLENTITUDE and it captures exactly the power of human love your poem celebrates. There are two connections in the poem - of the eyes and of the hands - which climax this scene of the MOMENT love is recognized by two people as fait accompli - Oh, what a moment of grace that is! But you take that moment even further in the last two lines WHEN LOVE DID MEET ECSTASY / THAT NO HUMAN POWER CAN DEFEAT. That is the sweet and light in a nutshell

Your understanding and feel for this poem is so perfect it left me astonished and delighted! It opened all the main feelings of the poem as the petals of a flower, demonstrating exactly what I wanted to convey and exactly my deepest sentiments. Amazing!

But it has to be two way. Love is powerful. Anything powerful can be dangerous.: -)
