Lovers And Roses Poem by Seraphine Belle

Lovers And Roses

Endangered species of woeful mortals
Begun the tale of two lovers

As they trudged through the failing existence of mankind
In silence
Hand in hand

They looked at all that is left,
Around them
Rubble lay
Waste of previous civilization
Modern in its value
but ancient in its despair

As the two companions moved through the borders of lost
and found hope in the other side
With roses abound.
