Loves Flame Poem by Dennis Field

Love is like a flame
after a while it becomes a furnace
it is hard to put out
it is all consuming
you cannot turn it off
you turn off the gas
but the flame is still there.

You sometimes try to quell it
but it still rages on
sometimes its hard to bear
for this is your love
that you have to share
so let it be for the only one
that is for you there.
