Rain Love

My love is like the rain
it starts small
then grows big
the drops do fall onto the ground
and at first are swallowed down
as they get bigger they form into puddles
getting bigger and bigger
until the ground is underwater.

So my love is there to see
all around and is free
for the rain makes things grow
just like my love to overflow
so my love do see its true
think of the rain
I will pour on you
with all my heart I am proud
to be yours
I will shout loud

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
and the sheds were all cut out;
