lucky star

I thank my lucky star,
It really is out there,
I've seen it,
off far,
It's followed at a distance,
with its big,
starry gaze,
When it's happy,
i know it,
my luck,
seems to raise.

My star has protected me,
when i was at,
my wits end,
through the fires,
and the pain,
thought i was unable to mend,
and my heart,
but there was,
no need,
because God,
you are my lucky star,
and my star,
will never leave,

America! America!
