Lullaby Poem by Josh Erys

Lullaby

Rating: 5.0

Close your eyes and
fall asleep, for the gentle
breeze of the night
will whisper sweet and melodious secrets of
my love to your heart
in a loving lullaby.
Dark and long,
as the sky awaits the birth
of the morning sun.
The crickets quivers, as
the trees calmly in joint
harmony make a whirring
sound.
All transformed into
a beautiful lullaby by
the gentle waves of the
night.
Sleep my love and
when thee wake in your dream,
comes a kiss of light
upon thy brow.
And when you awake
in the morning,
beside thee will be I,
with a kiss of love
on your lips.
As the morning sun
in turn prompts forth
the promises of the
day...
