Madness Poem by Cory Cook

Madness

Mindless violence, another innocent silenced, so much gun violence, so many tears cut through the silence, another poor soul, just eleven years old, friends said he had a heart of gold, a prayer for him, as the angels sing, such a terrible thing, gunned down by a sinner, with satans grin. This horrific insanity, there will be no one to win. So many lives thrown to the wind. was it drugs? or a point to prove? are you any more macho? with innocents blood on your shoes? how did you ever choose? to pick up a gun, and shoot an aching mothers eleven year old son. If only we could sacrifice you, and let your madness be undone. C.J.C
