Magnificent Times Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Magnificent Times

These are magnificent times,
We all have been given...
To self evaluate.
With a facing of the truth.
Done to do,
Without attempts made...
From it to escape.
Or think of truth,
As a temporary fading escapade.

These are magnificent times.
To discover what it is,
Deception has produced.
And allowed to permit this,
In our minds to seduce.

What is left to value or maintain to gain.
Besides listening to so many,
Everyday complain.
What is left to value or maintain to gain.
Headaches and pains to accept unchanged?

These are magnificent times.
To leave behind choices others may choose.
For approval and a life lived confused.
These are magnificent times.
To find a peace of mind.
One knows is theirs to define.
And leave behind,
Confusion that deludes the truth.
And leave behind,
Confusion that deludes the truth.
And leave behind,
Those who can not do this too!
