Make A Wish Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Make A Wish

Make a wish
Dream however big
wish a Redwood
and not a mere twig

Make a wish
Cast it high as the sky
Don't second guess
or fret or ask why

Make a wish
Make it bold and grande
hope it even brighter
than you ever planned

Make a wish
Because life is but a dream
It's more precious
than it does sometimes seem

Make a wish
Keep it in your heart
The way it came to you
At the very start

Make a wish
And think of how you'll smile
Now try to keep that hopefulness
All the while

Not every wish will come true
But dreaming is believing
And you'll never be down and blue
as long as you've got that dream in you

If you wish hard enough
Your dream might just come true
But realize your very smile
Might be someone else's wish too
