Cape Town, city of my great joy and pain,
for many decades from you I have been away
but I want to return back to your beauty,
learn more about another kind of life,
here where your sun shine so bright in this summer,
you do touch my heart, my soul and my mind,
although among many strangers I am just another
and there is nights that my past comes to my dreams,
for many decades from you I have been away.
