May It Be Poem by Bancroft Boreland

May It Be

Before you there was no other
After you there will be no other
Love brought us together
Now our hearts are entwined
I am forever yours, you are forever mine
A life without you I cannot imagine
We share a love so vast, so infinite
It exceeds this universe we live in
It grows perpetually, it does not abate
Love is our religion, our faith
Of all the billions of people in this world
I can think of no one else but you
When I am by your side I feel elated to be alive
But a moment not being where you are
And it is as if I have died

Together we are right
Separated we are wrong
If not with you
Then nowhere else do I belong
May it be that we are always together
May it be that our love lasts forever
May it be that eternity never ends…
