May the flowering plants bloom
And dispel the gloom
From our homes and the street
Or wherever we meet
And cool the inner heat
With their fragrance sweet.
Orchids, lilies and sunflower,
Daisies, tulips of showy colour,
Crysanthemums, jasmine and rose;
A veritable feast to the eyes and nose.
The whole of my country is a garden
The flowering plants, her toiling men and women
Let them blossom with scented flowers and seeds
Unhampered by the pestering weeds.
