Meaning Of Truth

Meaning of truth

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Meaning of truth
Thinkers have puzzled over the meaning of truth and untruth for ages
Going beyond both are true sages
A fact may have fiction; story or mythology, more truth
To save a life and a greater cause a lie may be greater than truth!

truth comes in many brands; of science, arts, philosophy and religion
And then there is utilitarian and common sense version
Each is true in its own area thus truth is mostly relative and provisional
Absolute and eternal truth is either concocted or dogmatic-ideological

truth of science though logical empirical goes beyond our sense perception
at its deepest it is probabilistic or a web of mathematician
without a legible model; yet it predicts with some certainty
leaps in technology is based on deduction, induction and verification

'everything is false in history except name and dates! '
'everything is true in fictions except name and dates! '
arts and mythology have their own genre of truth value
philosophy has been trapped in its spider's web of logic and gives meaning of truth an ambiguous fate.

religious truth is mostly a dogmas un-debatable
common sense truth is equally unpredictable
professor james initiated utilitarian truth which is somewhat commercial
to know the meaning of truth, man is helpless and unable
and many times a lie to save a life or values or a cause is more valuable
thus truth like everything is conditional and variable
yet there is a truth and value beyond a cobweb of heart and mind
call it absolute-eternal, sans space and time, 'shoonyata' and 'Zero' kind

truth can be often very harsh like sun
so 'Maya and illusion' has to provide us protection
stripped of all illusions and dreams we may perhaps collapse
unless we are rock-firm in values, hopes and dreams have an important function
