Meatless >>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Meatless >>>

Rating: 5.0

deafening calmness awakes
blinding darkness awaits
paws of hungry teeth sharp
silently steps in pursuit
of unknowing prey beneath
broken branch from storm
scent musk by misting sky

in last second a leaf broke
sending every critter fleeing
she lick her lips; turn back
consoling herself on mishunt
berries would suffice crawls
on aching tummy, sour grapes
