Meditate On It Poem by Natalia Ortiz

Meditate On It

When you close your eyes to envision your life,
First thing is darkness, no light in sight
You've gotta paint the picture because your lids are shut tight
Nothing yet....Fear pumps through your chest
Getting that feeling of cardiac arrest,
When will it manifest?
Anxiety, just one of the less things to express
No epiphany, no laughs,
Did I really forget
How to be free in the life my mind has set?
A painting drawn from the most deepest part of your heart
A piece of ART no man or woman
could ever START to understand
So many questions MAN
Nothing in your surroundings,
Minds so boggled feels like im drowning, and misery keeps howling
Could you be my teacher, give me teachings on the future cuz i been doing it my way but it seems I need a tutor
Every formulas gone bad
And my spirit mans so sad
Look my wings have just collapsed.
Many times found myself walking down the path of my past
Hitting the same wall I built up last
Into its were ima crash
LORD send me a vision fast
Tired of hiding behind a mask
Tears burning Scars into my very own laughs
I wana erase the faded memories of what used to be
And Build Up That SOLDIER within me.
