Meditation Poem by Roxane Spar

Meditation

I close my eyes and begin my journey
To my inner world, my truth, my reality
To the tempo of my breath, forgetting time
I go down deep, to the deepest layers of my mind

When I think about all this time I felt so lonely
Memories of the past, you were just hidden in me
When I think about all this time I surrendered to misery
I had no idea, of my liberation, you were the key

So fortunate, now I’m out of ignorance
So fortunate, now I have experience
Sensations of craving, sensations of aversion
One free flow after another, process of purification
Keeping full awareness and equanimity
Changing the habit pattern of my mind, diligently

Matter and soul, complete dissolution
Bhenga! I’m nothing but vibrations
Arising, passing away, arising, passing away
What an insight, what a delight
Realizing the world is impermanent
Understanding the danger of attachment

Now the seed of Dhama is planted in me
I’ll water it patiently to grow into a big tree
All winds of negativity can blow, it won’t bend
Vipassana meditation, my eternal friend
