Meerkat Critters Poem by Marilyn Lott

Meerkat Critters

Imagine if you were driving along
And right off of the road
Were little critters in a cluster
They never have to carry the load.

For they are rarely seen alone
Their brothers and sisters are there too
Standing tall and rather strangely
You could see them right out of the blue.

Meerkat's are what they are called
Related to the Mongoose family
Curious little critters they are
They stand up tall so they can see.

Looking like they have on glasses
Around there eyes the fur is black
I know if I were to see them
I would truly someday go back!
