I can still remember his broad smile, the years have taken their toll but he was as handsome as I can remember with a toothless gleaming smile that dashed across his masculine but childish features.I remember when I was a little girl, he would sit me up on his lap and make me laugh, he would look into my eyes and I knew it was the safest place I would ever be.He would crack his tiresome jokes but yet still I would find myself smiling.Saterday morning's he would take my tiny hands into his and we would walk into town hand in hand.My best days would be the day it rained, I would sit under my covers and hear the rain fall on the iron roof, it was beautiful to the ears.I've enjoyed the best days of my life with him, he showed me wisdom, laughter but most of all he showed me how to smile for the rest of my life. That is my dad who right now is reaching his greatest heights.Thank you for leaving me with a life time of memories.
