Memories Of The Past Poem by Justin Gildow

Memories Of The Past

Rating: 5.0

The sun's rising up over
in the distance
I can see it
As I'm driving

In the distance
I can see the school district
in the distance
Where I used to go to
And where she went to as well

Time has passed
Time has made me a better person
Time has made me wonder
It's made me wonder where she is
Where she is now

Walking through the cemetery
Moving along through the
courtyard
I remember seeing myself there
And I remember seeing her up there
somewhere

Yearbooks and photos can tell
a lot
Yes, surprisingly they can

Memories of the past
Shades of the past
They're all coming back to
me now
The memory of her is coming
back to me now
As I continue to walk around
here
As I continue to walk around
this place

Yes, the narrative brings to fore sad memories of a loving relationship terminated premature. Thanks. @@@ Time has passed Time has made me a better person It's made me wonder where she is
