Memorys Poem by jessica carden

Memorys

I feel A warmth around me like your presence is so near,

So I close my eyes to visualize your face when you was here.

I cherish the times we spent together, They are always in my heart.

For as long as I have them we could never be apart.

Going through photos of when I was young I study each one

carefully, Playing back all the moments in my life.

Thinking of all the smiling faces and birthday wishes.

How it was so hard for me to go to sleep the night before Christmas.

You would always sneak milk and cookies in the room,

and tell me I was the bestest.

All so care free not knowing how fast our happiness would be out of reach.

Now as I am grown I can see all the little things is what should mean the most to me.

As A child I took them for-granted, and now that's what makes me the saddest.

I know you see me I know your there, But in my heart it’s just not fair.

when I look up I see the sky, I know your their looking down on me.

You can hear my voice for every night before I go to bed your in my prayers

I love you and miss you so much papaw and how I wish every time I herd

your voice when I opened my eyes it didn't disappear

but at least I can hear you in my prayers
